Description:
The Structural Engineer I performs structural analyses of low complexity on existing communication structures (including guyed, self-supporting, and monopoles and their foundations) and prepares formal, written reports detailing tower capacity and recommendations for modifications needed to increase capacity. The Structural Engineer I supports more experienced engineers analyzing more complex structures and designing new towers, tower foundations, and modifications to existing towers. The incumbent reviews TIA inspection reports of low to intermediate complexity on existing communication structures and prepares engineering documentation recommending remediation requirements. The incumbent also assists more experienced engineers with reviewing more complex TIA inspection reports and remediation requirements.
